Palo Alto Clay & Glass Festival
about this festival

July 10 & 11, 2010 • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Embarcadero & Newell

The festival, sponsored by the Association of Clay & Glass Artists of California, is now celebrating its eighteenth year and attracts over 10,000 people every year. The Palo Alto Art Center, the site of the festival & a co-sponsor, provides a beautiful park-like setting that just adds more pleasure to the shopping experience for every festival attendee.

As the only art & crafts festival in the Bay Area that focuses solely on very high-quality ceramic and glass artwork, people come from miles around just to experience this two-day opportunity to buy something beautiful that will provide viewing pleasure for a lifetime.

A key ingredient to the success of this members-only festival, of course, are the 170 exhibiting members of the Association of Clay & Glass Artists (ACGA) who work year-round creating beautiful art; some just for this two-day event. Available ceramic art will range from functional and decorative platters, vessels, wall-hangings and urns five-feet tall to larger-than-life figurative sculptures and outdoor lawn art. The glass artists will be presenting their hand-blown, fused & slumped work in the forms of wearable art, decorative vessels and other household decor to outdoor sculptural pieces.
